[CHABANEIX]. Philippe Chabaneix. Special issue of *La Muse Française*. First edition of this issue dedicated to the poet, no. 1 of 50 deluxe copies bound in pure-thread thread-sewn binding, containing a signed autograph poem. Paris, Garnier Frères – La Muse Française, 10 December 1928. In-8, Bradel binding in midnight blue half-maroquin with corner pieces, smooth spine, title running lengthwise, covers and spine preserved. Binding by Alfred Farez. 126 pages. Corners very slightly rubbed. ‎First edition of this special issue dedicated to Philippe Chabaneix (1898–1982). One of 50 copies numbered on pure thread, the only print run on large-format paper, this being no. 1. The issue contains four poems by Philippe Chabaneix and contributions by Francis Carco, Pol Neveux, Tristan Derème, Henri Drouin, René Groos, etc. Bookplate by the poet Auguste-Pierre Garnier (185–1966), who took over the family publishing house in 1911. This copy contains an autograph dizain by Chabaneix, signed and entitled ‘À des jeunes filles’ (one in-8 page, handwritten in black ink on small-quared paper). In fine condition.
