Paris and Geneva, Librairie des Bibliophiles and Librairie Desrogis, undated [circa 1885]. Large 8vo, full varnished sheepskin binding stamped with Japonist motifs (flowers, foliage, butterflies), plain spine with a honey-coloured leather title label, covers preserved. 331 pp. Scuffing to the clasps, caps and edges; spine and part of the upper cover sun-faded; linings and endpapers of later brown paper. Marked as the 3rd edition of this collection of philosophical and melancholic reflections, a romantic meditation by Octave Pirmez (1832–1883), a French-speaking Belgian writer. In good condition.
