Small in-4, turquoise morocco, richly decorated ribbed spine, triple gilt fillet framing the covers, double gilt fillet on the edges, lemon morocco lining decorated with gilt motifs composed of a wide framing lace with central medallion, gilt head, blue covers imitating silk with gold lettering preserved, slipcase (Chambolle-Duru).
Unique edition, entirely engraved and limited to 115 copies, published by subscription through Octave Uzanne. The illustration, entirely designed by Albert Lynch and engraved by Gaujean, consists of a title vignette printed in green, a large full-page composition at the head of the epistle, a large cul-de-lampe, a vignette and an initials; all in colour and of great finesse, as well as 11 in-text figures in black. The texts were engraved by Leclère (Vicaire I, 46).
