In-12, 12 ff, 278 pp, 1f, brown calf, spine ribbed and decorated, title page, gilt roulette on the edges, spotted edges (contemporary binding).
First edition. Engraved frontispiece. This first edition was dedicated to Madame la Dauphine.
Slight wear to the binding (corners worn, very small split to the bit of the second plate), small marginal tear with loss to the front. otherwise a good copy. (Quérard, X, 129)
