New collection of forty-two views of Saint Petersburg and its surroundings drawn from life by various artists accompanied by a map of the city, divided by cross-reference squares, for the use of foreigners. Oblong folio (48.5 x 36 cm), green half-basin with corners, smooth spine decorated, large title vignette bearing the handwritten mention n° 901 on the first cover (contemporary binding).
General plan by Catherinhoff pasted on front cover, title page, table, plan of the city of St Petersburg with legend opposite, 42 lithographed views - titled in French except for the last one - and 1 additional untitled plate signed A Orlowsky, 1824.
Binding worn and stained, dampstaining, scattered freckles and stains, tears in places, several ff. restored, small marginal worm gallery and a few traces of pencil.
Rare album of views of imperial St. Petersburg, complete with all 42 plates and one additional plate.
