"First edition; the author Fr. Farin signed it; it is the only one that appeared in his lifetime, and it is still the most sought-after." (Barbier, II, 718).
"Prem. édit. d'un liv. justement estimé et qui a servi de point de départ aux auteurs qui ont écrit sur l'hist. de notre ville. This was the only edition to appear during Farin's lifetime. Several anonymous reprints were made, with a few changes during the 17th century; but the 1668 edition, which Farin dedicated to the mayor and aldermen of Rouen, is still the most sought-after.
