In-folio (55 x 38 cm) of [2] ff, VI pp, [57] ff (including 27 of text), red Bradel boards, gilt title on spine, gilt frieze framing boards with central gilt fleuron, spine rebacked.
First edition of this very fine work, limited to 150 copies. The iconography consists of 30 plates finely lithographed by Langlumé and Motte after drawings by the author.
Attached is 1 browned fly leaf showing the plate of the gable of the prosecutors' room in the Palais de Justice.
Some defects to the binding, restored tears on 3 plates, 2 plates detached, small wormholes in the inner margin affecting qqs ff. at the beginning and end of the work otherwise a fine copy. Very rare. Ex-libris JM (Frère, II, 108)
