2 vols. large in-8 red morocco, sextuple gilt fillet framing the covers, spine ribbed and decorated, title and author gilt, date on tail, gilt fillets on spine mounts, gilt head, covers and spine preserved (Babouot). A scratch on the upper board, rubbed at the ends of the spines, small chips to the gilding of the fillets.
First edition in bookshops, largely original. The first, containing only 12 poems, was printed in Caen for friends in 1854, with 36 copies printed - for Poussières, a collective edition in part original for Rhythmes oubliés.
Edition of 510 copies, one of ten copies on japon in the first edition.
