BROUET, Auguste. Auguste BROUET – Catalogue of his engraved works – Prints. [25668] Paris, published by Gaston Boutitie & Co., 1923. 2 substantial volumes in/4 (29 x 23 cm), paperback, filled and printed cover, 141 & 271 plates with captions. Copies numbered on vellum, complete with the corresponding original engravings Auguste Brouet: (1872–1941) Engraver (etchings) and illustrator. It was Delâtre who taught him the techniques of engraving and who printed a large part of his work. Gaston Boutitie’s Catalogue Raisonné, published in 1923, comprises 271 entries across its two volumes, not including variants. Given that he is known to have continued engraving until at least 1938 and to have illustrated several books after 1923, he is undoubtedly the creator of more than 400 prints.
