“Frank Lloyd Wright, born on 8 June 1867 in Richland Centre, Wisconsin, and died on 9 April 1959 in Phoenix, Arizona, was an American architect and designer. He was responsible for over four hundred completed projects, including museums, petrol stations, tower blocks, hotels, churches and workshops, but it was primarily his houses that brought him fame. In particular, he was the leading figure of the Prairie School style and the designer of the Usonian houses – small dwellings in harmony with their surroundings. In 1991, he was recognised by the American Institute of Architects as the greatest American architect in history.”
