Description
Various authors – Desjardins-Menegalli… Dr Dufour’s Baby Bottles. [30161] Exhibition at the Fécamp Museums, 1997; large square in-8 format; paperback; colour cover; 232 pages. Colour and black-and-white illustrations. This book is the result of a symposium held in Fécamp in June 1997, which focused on the history of child nutrition and the role of Dr Dufour, founder of the Oeuvre de la Goutte de Lait. An exhibition tracing the evolution of the feeding bottle from antiquity to the present day (the bottles come from Dr Dufour’s personal collection) complemented the event. The book consists of three parts: the first traces the history of infant feeding (pp. 1–40), the second is devoted to the creation and spread of the ‘Goutte de Lait’ (pp. 41–120) and the third presents Dr Dufour’s collection of baby bottles (nearly 300 items).
