SCALE MODEL (wood) — A display model of a two-seater reconnaissance biplane from the Great War, carved from wood, coated and lacquered. Natural metal finish and silver fabric with a ribbed effect; wings of equal length with separate struts and guy wires; two-bladed wooden propeller; axle-type landing gear; tail unit with a wide, rounded planform. French cockades; rudder with a tricolour pennant. The fuselage features a seagull painted in yellow and the number ‘6’ in black. The seagull emblem was used by several units of the French military air force, including the SAL6 squadron and the SPA squadron. No stand included. — Very good condition.
