A set of five bronze letter-openers featuring a heraldic lion motif (signed ‘Le VERRIER’ with the dates 22 July – 22 August), ears of wheat (signed ‘L. ROSSI’), ‘Rocaille’ foliage, Art Nouveau floral motifs and a spread-winged eagle. L: 21 cm, 26 cm, 27 cm, 23 cm and 26 cm. A set comprising: - A travel knife with a steel blade and fork, and a dark wood and silver handle decorated with foliage, with a stamped leather case. L: 21 and 22 cm. - A folding knife with a blade made of exotic wood. L: 20 cm. - An oriental knife with an engraved steel blade and a brass handle featuring engraved decoration and a stylised pommel, with an engraved metal sheath. L: 39.5 cm. - A fisherman’s knife with a steel blade engraved with ‘BUICK, 191, USA’. Wooden handle with a brass tip and a leather sheath. - A knife with a sinuous ‘Damascus’ steel blade and a tapered handle made of dark brown composite material with brass fittings, complete with a leather sheath. L: 21 and 22 cm. Three small ‘letter opener’ knives with brass blades (one with a steel blade) and ‘cartridge casing’ handles in brass.
