POLAND “THE MINE” – CEREMONIAL/PARADE SCHAKO, circa 1940–50, belonging to a coal miner, made of black felt with triangular braiding around the rim in gold thread. On the front, the same gold-threaded canetille trim features a design of crossed hammers centred between two gilded palm fronds. With its plume of white feathers (height 29 cm).
