DECORATION – Medal of SYRIA-CILICIA and the LEVANT, established on 18 July 1922, period design, 30 mm bronze disc, with a crescent-shaped loop set against two laurel leaves, designed by Georges LEMAIRE. - “French Republic”, helmeted head encircled by a laurel wreath, in profile to the left - Reverse: a naval anchor and a fort, the inscription ‘Levant’, and flags bearing the inscriptions ‘Honour and Fatherland’ and ‘Syria-Cilicia’ - Ribbon with alternating horizontal blue and white stripes.
