FULL-LENGTH STANDING portrait signed by DISDERI “photographer to His Majesty the Emperor” and a frontal head-and-shoulders portrait signed CH. REUTLINGER” – 1st prize at the 1867 World’s Fair – Visiting-card size, albumin bromide prints mounted on card, approximately 10.5 x 6.3 cm. ( * ) FALLOUX: born and died in ANGERS 8 May 1811 / 6 January 1886 – Journalist, historian, politician of the Legitimist and clerical movement. Minister for Public Education and Religious Affairs (1848), Member of Parliament for Maine-et-Loire (1846–1851), Member of the Académie Française (1856–1886). The Act on Public Education of 15 March 1850, which bears his name, organises and regulates private religious education.
