( * ) REMUZAT: born and died in Paris, 14 March 1797 / 6 June 1875 – Politician, writer, philosopher and memoirist. Elected eight times as Member of Parliament for Haute-Garonne under the July Monarchy and the Third Republic. Twice a minister under Adolphe THIERS (Minister for the Interior in 1840 and Minister for Foreign Affairs in 1871–73). Member of the Académie Française and the Académie des Sciences Morales et Politiques.
