COLLECTION OF FIVE SUPERB ADVERTISING MENUS, illustrated in colour with the plants used in Chartreuse liqueur, produced circa 1920 – 27 x 18 cm.
Five flowers on stems: Alpine aster, red pasque flower, daffodil, wild anemone.
Five rare menus in mint condition, ‘engraved and printed’ by SAGAG, Bellegarde / Ain.
( * ) This yellow Chartreuse liqueur, produced by the Carthusian monks of Isère, was manufactured in Tarragona, Spain, from 1903 to 1989 following the expulsion law targeting religious congregations in France. Since 1989, distillation has ceased in Tarragona and the liqueur was produced exclusively in VOIRON, Isère, until 2018.
