Description
A rosewood and amaranth veneered chest of drawers with inlaid lozenges on the front and fleur-de-lys in lozenges on the sides, opening to three drawers, two of which have no crosspiece, signed "Lexcellent Fabt Paris" on the lock, marble top with shoulders.

This chest of drawers is a copy of the one made by Jean-François LELEU and delivered as a pair on 1st May 1773 for the bedroom of the Duchess of Bourbon in the Palais Bourbon, one of which is now in the Musée de Trianon in Versailles and the other in the Wallace Collection in London.
