CARTIER ‘Couteau’ pocket watch in platinum (950 thousandths), opaline dial, black minute track, Roman numeral hour markers in black decals, blued hollow-pommel hands. Clip-on case back in platinum (950 thousandths), with a blackened ‘ASA’ engraving on the outside and the Edmond Jaeger hallmark on the inside, Cartier serial numbers 80023 and 13291, signed ‘EUROPEAN WATCH AND CLOCK CO’, with a personal engraving reading ‘L.W.B. J.W.B. OCT. 28, 1927’. Hand-wound mechanical movement with a pendant signed ‘EUROPEAN WATCH AND CLOCK CO’ and an anchor escapement. On the periphery of the movement on the case, reference numbers 17170 and 13291.
