DUNHILL BY TAVANNES ‘LA CAPTIVE’ A secret pocket watch in 18K gold (750 thousandths), revealed by two flaps operated by two side push-buttons; the watch is hinged, features an opaline dial, a black railway-track minute track, ‘Breguet’-style Arabic numeral hour markers set in gold appliqués, and hollowed-out gold ball-shaped hands. Clip-on case back of the monobloc timepiece, inscribed inside with ‘TAVANNES WATCH CO’, numbered 828495 and 346. Clip-on case back in 18K gold (750 parts per thousand), numbered 346; mechanical hand-wound movement signed TAVANNES WATCH, with an anchor escapement. One of the case back flaps is numbered 346. The watch was in working order at the time of valuation; however, there is no guarantee of future functionality or the condition of the components.
