VACHERON & CONSTANTIN 222 Wristwatch in steel and 18K gold (750 parts per thousand), gold-coloured dial, black minute track, applied 18K gold (750 thousandths) baton hour markers (known as a ‘Sigma’ dial), gold-coloured central seconds hand, date at three o’clock, luminescent gold-coloured baton hands. Notched bezel in 18K gold (750 thousandths). Monobloc steel case back engraved with ‘222’, numbered 547639. Vacheron & Constantin-signed self-winding mechanical movement, calibre 1124, numbered 692384. Steel and 18K gold (750 thousandths) bracelet, Vacheron & Constantin-signed folding clasp, code J1, safety clasp engraved with the Maltese cross. The watch was in working order at the time of valuation; however, no guarantee is given as to its future operation or the condition of its components. Scratches on the case and bracelet; some signs of oxidation on the dial; the luminescent material on the hour markers is missing. Accompanied by its original warranty certificate dated 6 March 1984, as well as a service invoice from 1999 for a full movement service, dial cleaning, replacement of the crown and a refresh of the case.
