A neo-Renaissance-style jewellery box in silver-plated bronze, octagonal in shape with bevelled sides and an oval base resting on four volute feet; the sides are decorated with oval cameos on a shell background depicting allegories of the Arts, including painting, sculpture, music, theatre, architecture and poetry, framed in gilded bronze and surrounded by volutes and Neo-Renaissance floral motifs; the lid is adorned with an oblong cameo featuring an allegorical design within
