A pair of small, bulbous vases with narrow necks and scalloped rims, made of porcelain and lacquer, decorated with flowers and a butterfly in flight. Made in Japan in the early 20th century. Marked with three gold characters and labels on the underside of the base. Height: 11.3 cm. Also included is a spherical vase, made using the same technique and from the same source, with three small feet and two handles, decorated with cranes and flowers. Height: 14 cm. One handle is damaged and needs to be reattached.
