First edition, one of 100 copies on Hollande, the only large paper with 25 Chine, in a very fine morocco binding.

Volume In-12 (188x126mm), bound in half red morocco with corners, spine with 5 nerves, compartmented, boxes with rich decoration with small gilt irons. Head gilt, margins untrimmed, covers preserved, without spine (Binding signed Blanchetière).

Collection of six short stories which had appeared in serial form in the Russian magazine Le Messager de l'Europe between 1875 and 1880. They are entitled: Naïs Micoulin, Nantas, La mort d'Olivier Bécaille, Madame Neigeon, Les Coquillages de M. Chabre, Jacques Damour.
Provenance: Juan Hernandez with bookplate engraved in intaglio with the motto "De tout un peu".
