Remarkable lined bindings by Pierre-Lucien Martin, containing one of 14 copies on old Japan tinted paper, accompanied by 3 additional states of the engravings by Galanis and enriched by an original ink drawing signed by the artist. Paris, Gallimard, 1930. 2 vol. in-4 (240x290 mm), the first volume in red morocco with spiral gilt fillets on the boards, smooth spine decorated in the same way, red suede lining and endpapers, gilt edges, cover and spine preserved, half morocco flap folder, matching slipcase. The second volume in red half-maroquin with a large piece of cream box in a gilt frame on the boards, smooth spine, cream box lining and endpapers, gilt edges, folder and slipcase (P-L. Martin). XIII and 340 pages, 49 black etchings by Demetrios Galanis, including one frontispiece and 8 full-page etchings. Joints fragile or split on the folders, slight rubbing to the slipcases. Luxurious edition published by André Malraux, decorated with 49 original compositions by the painter and engraver Démétrios Galanis (1879-1966). Limited edition of 300 copies, this one of 8 copies on old Japan tinted series B (N°X), accompanied by 3 additional states of the engravings in the suite volume. It is enhanced by an original ink drawing (7 x 7 cm), signed by Galanis. Sumptuous bindings signed by Pierre-Lucien Martin (1913-1985).
