A remarkable copy of this splendid collection of 33 poems illustrated with 108 compositions by the painter and engraver Louis Legrand (1863-1951), including 30 original etchings; one of the few hors-commerce on Chine, including a second state of the 30 etchings and an offprint of all the illustrations, in a luxurious binding signed by Grégoire Lévitzky. Paris, Gustave Pellet, 1914. In-8, midnight blue jansenist morocco, spine with 4 bands decorated with a silver title, double silver fillet on the edges, inner band in the same morocco set with a silver fillet and the signature "G. Levitzky", silk lining and endpapers, double marbled paper endpapers, silver edges, illustrated covers and spine preserved, slipcase (G. Levitzky). Slight rubbing on one nerve and on the slipcase. Remarkable publication presenting a selection of 33 poems by Charles Baudelaire (14), Stéphane Mallarmé, Paul Verlaine, Jean Richepin, Jean Lorrain, Tristan Corbière, Arthur Rimbaud, Théophile Gautier, Anna de Noailles, Gabriel Mourey, Gustave Kahn, Albert Samain, Marceline Desbordes-Valmore and Ernest Joubert, with 30 original full-page etchings by Louis Legrand (including 3 with the printed text at the top) and 78 woodcut drawings in the text. A total of 108 compositions, including some of the finest illustrations by the painter and engraver Louis Legrand (1863-1951). Limited edition of 80 numbered copies and a few hors-commerce copies, one of the few hors-commerce copies on Chine, including, unjustified, a second state of the etchings and an offprint of all the illustrations. A superb copy, perfectly established by Grégoire Lévitzky (1885-1969).
