Volume in-12 (185 x 130 mm), half aubergine morocco with corners, double fillet on covers, ribbed spine decorated with fillets, author's dotted line, title date and a pretty fleuron with gilt irons, gilt head.
481 pages.
Slight rubbing from use, corners a little damaged. Some very rare foxing.
Second edition, partly original. Copy of the first edition, one of 50 on Hollande paper, n°47, the only large paper.
Provenance: from the library of André Barrier ( Paris 1870 - 1957 ), with handwritten bookplate. President of the Court of Appeal and chairman of the Cent Bibliophiles.
