ROMAINS (Jules) and BERDON (Maurice). Les Copains. Lithograph by Maurice Berdon. Elegant binding signed by Henri Blanchetière, containing one of the 15 nominative copies reserved for contributors (N°3), with a suite of 51 lithographs on de luxe paper, the first numbered and signed, 11 original drawings by Maurice Berdon, and a menu for the "Diner des Copains" illustrated with a lithograph signed by the artist and the author. S.l. [Paris], Aux dépens de la Société Hippocrate et ses Amis, s.d. [1930]. In-4 (230x290 mm), brown morocco, four-ribbed spine, gilt fillet and ochre morocco listel on covers, same fillet on entrenerfs and countersides, double gilt fillet on edges, moiré silk lining and endpapers, gilt edges on witnesses, cover and spine preserved, lined slipcase (H. Blanchetière). 211 pages, 50 lithographs in 2 tones by Maurice Berdon, full-page, header, in-text, and culs-de-lampe. Spine a little faded. Edition with 50 two-tone lithographs by Maurice Berdon. Limited edition of 115 copies on Vélin d'Arches, this one of 15 reserved for collaborators, nominative for Pierre Lereboullet (N°3) and signed by the author on the justification. It includes a suite of 51 illustrations on de luxe paper, the first of which is numbered 1/10 and signed by the artist, 11 original charcoal drawings by Berdon on laid chine paper, several versions of some of the drawings, and a menu from the "Dîner des Copains" of 26 February 1930 with an accompanying lithograph signed by the artist and the author. A very fine copy, perfectly established by Henri Blanchetière (1881-1933).
