Luxurious mosaic binding by Lehaye, containing one of the 25 collaborators' copies, enriched with 3 original signed drawings by André Collot, 5 original drawings and an autograph note by the bookbinder H. Lehaye, as well as 2 original watercolours signed by Lehaye and inserted in the linings.

In-4 (195x240 mm), burgundy morocco, spine with 4 nerves framed with cold filets extending over the covers, first cover decorated with a colour mosaic depicting a peasant, gilt fillet on the edges, interior framed in the same morocco decorated with a garland of gilt and mosaic vine leaves and grapes, lining decorated with two original watercolours signed by Lehaye, red moire endpapers, double endpapers, gilt edges, cover and spine preserved, bordered slipcase (Lehaye).
288 pages.
Spine slightly oiled, hinges rubbed, a few pale freckles on the first few leaves.
Beautiful edition illustrated with 22 compositions in colour, each accompanied by a bistre state, and 12 bands enhanced with stencils by André Collot.
Limited edition of 450 copies, this being one of the 25 Collaborateurs copies numbered in Roman numerals (N°XIV), bearing an autograph signed letter from the artist André Collot on the justification.
Enriched with: - 3 original full-page drawings signed by André Collot, including two in pencil and one in watercolour
- 5 original pencil drawings signed by Lehaye, 4 of which are on loose card leaves measuring 18 x 13 cm, and one measuring 15 x 11 cm, pasted on one of the white endpapers in a frame coloured green and enhanced with gold, corresponding to the mosaic on the first plate
- 2 original watercolours in colour signed H. Lehaye, inserted in the linings
- an autograph note (on a 13x16 cm loose leaf) signed by the bookbinder, certifying that the original watercolours and preparatory drawings for the mosaic contained in the book were executed by his hand in 1940, for Monsieur Dubois.
