First illustrated edition in a superb binding signed by Henri Blanchetière.

In-8 volume (223 x 146 mm). Full raspberry red morocco, triple fillet framing the boards, five-ribbed spine decorated with foliage fillets at the corners in gold, gilt edges on witnesses. Covers and spine preserved, slipcase lined. Binding signed H. Blanchetière.
Luxury edition limited to 210 copies, this one of 170 on Hollande paper (n°138).
The work is decorated with 4 original etchings by Edmond Morin (1824-1882), a leading illustrator of Parisian life during the Second Empire.
Copy enriched with a suite of the state of the engravings before the letter.
