Admirable edition given by Charles Meunier and illustrated by Antoine Calbet, one of the 125 copies reserved for members of the Society, this one nominative for Maurice Quarré, accompanied by a monochrome suite of the 19 compositions and enriched by 4 original drawings by Antoine Calbet, perfectly established by Conil and Septier in an elegant Jansenist binding with mosaic lining.

In-4 (210x250 mm), aubergine jansenist morocco, spine with 4 cold-framed raised bands, brown morocco lining decorated with a gilt fillet border with two aubergine and brown morocco listels, one cut at the corners of leaves stamped and mosaicked in green, Bookbinder's signature "Conil-Septier" in the leather, silk endpapers decorated with green and red embroidered foliage, double endpapers, gilt edges on witnesses, covers and spine preserved, in brown felt-lined slipcase (Conil-Septier).
222 pages, 19 colour compositions by Antoine Calbet, including 1 frontispiece, 9 hors-texte and 9 headbands, and 112 woodcut compositions by Calbet printed in various monochrome shades (cover vignette, title vignette, 54 headbands and 56 tailpieces), and a few miscellaneous ornaments. Poems printed in italics, title printed in black and red.

Splendid edition published under the artistic direction of Charles Meunier and Léon Thévenin, entirely mounted on tabs and illustrated by Antoine Calbet with 19 vividly coloured compositions, some of them erotic, including 10 hors-texte under captioned serpents, as well as 112 monochrome vignettes. Calbet's illustrations have been reproduced in colour using the Léon Marotte process.
Unique edition of 150 copies on strong wove paper watermarked with the name of the "Amis du Livre moderne", this being one of the first 125 reserved for members of the Society (N°112, printed for Maurice Quarré) with a monochrome suite (in black and yellow tones) of the 19 illustrations. Copy enriched with 4 original drawings in black by Calbet (proofs for the headbands and tailpieces).
