BRISSON (Pierre) and SEGONZAC (André Dunoyer de). The Ivy. Etchings by Dunoyer de Segonzac. Luxurious edition decorated with 28 original etchings by Dunoyer de Segonzac, in a radiant binding signed by Thérèse Moncey. Paris, André Sauret, 1953. In-4 (260x320 mm), black morocco, boards decorated with radiating gilt filleting extending to the spine, a broad band of black box with undulating contours in the centre of the boards bearing a mosaic of green foliage, taupe and beige, green box lining and endpapers, the first lining signed "Thérèse Moncey", the second signed "Fache, doreur", gilt edges, covers and spine preserved, matching folder and slipcase (Thérèse Moncey). 267 pages, 28 original etchings by André Dunoyer de Segonzac, including one on the cover, a frontispiece, 16 full-page and 10 in the text. Décollement of 1 cm to the decoration of the first cover, weakened hinge to the first cover of the folder. Beautiful edition of this novel by Pierre Brisson (1896-1964), decorated with 28 original etchings by André Dunoyer de Segonzac (1884-1974), painter, engraver and illustrator, one of the most important artists of the 1st half of the 20th century, printed by Jacques FRELAUT on Roger Lacourière's presses. Edition of 108 copies, this one of 66 copies on Vélin d'Arches à la forme watermarked with ivy leaf (N°45), bearing the signature of the author and artist on the justification. A splendid copy in excellent condition.
