Extremely rare 1792 illustrated revolutionary almanac in minuscule format (in-124), bound in full red morocco, decorated with a special iron rooster pushed in gold to the centres of the boards. Paris, Janet, no date (1792). In-128 ( 24x16 mm), bound in full red morocco, hardback boards, smooth ornate spine, fillets framing the boards with a special rooster iron pushed in gold in the centre, all edges gilt. 62 pages. Minor imperfections, some marks of handling. First edition, illustrated with 8 intaglio figures. Printed in small cursive type, all pages framed. Includes a collection of songs, followed by mottoes for young ladies and boys & a calendar for 1792. Created by the publisher Pierre-Etienne Janet (1746-1830), father of Louis Janet, also a bookbinder and publisher. A very well preserved copy.
