A very fine copy on Japon paper, containing 2 colour prints of the illustrations and enriched with an original watercolour by Georges Rochegrosse, in an elegant mosaic binding by Marius Michel. In-4 (230x290 mm), red grosgrain morocco, spine with 4 raised bands decorated with a stylized ribbon drawn in cold and mosaicked in black morocco, boards decorated in the same way, cold filets on the edges, wide inner border in the same morocco set with a cold fillet and a black morocco listel surrounded by two gilt fillets with gilt fleurons and green morocco mosaics in the spandrels, burgundy silk lining and endpapers, double endpapers, gilt edges on witnesses, covers and spine preserved, edged slipcase (Marius Michel). 213 pages and 4 ff.n.ch. (prospectus), 32 colour compositions by Georges Rochegrosse, etched by Eugène Decisy, including a frontispiece and 5 hors-texte, attractive grey historiated decoration framing the text.
