4 volumes in-8, red morocco in the Empire style, richly decorated in gold, all edges gilt.

Some light foxing, corners rubbed.
A large paper copy of this fine edition of the famous fables, richly illustrated with more than 250 vignettes engraved by Simon and Coiny after Vivier, from the Crapelet printing press. This is a reprint of the edition by Didot l'aîné (1787) with the same charming and abundant illustrations.
A very good copy in superb bindings in the Bozerian style.
