BAUDU (René) and LOBEL-RICHE (Alméry). Agora. Illustrated with 23 original compositions drawn and engraved. Drypoint by Lobel Riche. A remarkable copy of this first edition illustrated with 23 etchings by Lobel-Riche, exceptionally enriched with 4 original drawings by Lobel-Riche and a suite of 22 engravings with remarks, in a fine mosaic binding by Georges Cretté. Paris, chez les Auteurs, 1925. In-4 (195x270 mm), nasturtium morocco, smooth spine decorated with quadruple cold-stamped fillets repeated over the boards, large geometric composition on the boards composed of gilt palmettes bordering a double vertical row of cold-stamped circles with the centre mosaicked in red or black morocco, interior framing in the same morocco signed "Georges Cretté", brown suede lining and endpapers, gilt edges on witnesses, covers and spine preserved, lined slipcase (Georges Cretté). 95 pages, 23 original etchings in black by Lobel-Riche, including 1 frontispiece, 7 hors-texte and 15 in-texte. Very rare and minimal foxing, slight wear to the slipcase. First edition illustrated with 23 original etchings by Alméry Lobel-Riche (1877-1950). Limited edition of 310 copies, this being one of 60 copies on Arches vellum (N°120). A precious copy enriched with 4 original drawings by Lobel-Riche on 3 sheets (2 on a recto-verso sheet), including one signed and two monogrammed, and a suite of 22 engravings with remarks (the vignette illustrating page 73 is missing). Pr. Mercy bookplate on title page. Beautiful mosaic binding by Georges Cretté (1893-1969), one of the most important French bookbinders of the 20th century. Copy in perfect condition.
