Rare memoirs, essays and practical treatises published between 1774 and 1791 in Besançon, Rouen, Paris, Grenoble, Geneva and Metz. Volume in-12 (186 × 125 mm), contemporary binding in marbled half calf, spine ribbed and decorated with a red morocco title-piece: Sciences et Arts. Multiple pagination. This remarkable collection brings together scholarly and technical publications issued on the eve of the French Revolution. These texts - often anonymous or confidential - illustrate efforts to disseminate knowledge in the provinces in various fields such as hippology & veterinary medicine, planning, hydraulics, chemistry and genealogy. 1.
