Théodore GECHTER (1796-1844), Important mantelpiece in bronze with a brown-green patina, including a clock with a subject of Louis XII and Quentin Durward after Walter Scott, black marble base and chased ormolu with a patina frieze of ovals, acanthus leaf scroll with dog's head, putti at the corners, base with oval frieze, stag massacres, acanthus leaf scrolled feet (one detached foot is missing a piece of marble), enamel numeral dial surrounded by an oak leaf garland, H.87 cm ; W.62,5 cm ; D.27cm. And, a pair of patinated and gilt bronze candelabra with seven lights, the openwork shaft with military trophies, boar heads, dog heads, base with three winged dragons, and scrolled feet with foliage, Neo-Renaissance style.
