Augustin Jean MOREAU-VAUTHIER (1831–1893). Allegory of Fortune. Bronze cast with a brown patina, depicting a woman standing on a wheel, holding a ship’s rudder and a cornucopia. Signed and dated 1878 on the pedestal. Marked ‘Fonte Barbedienne’ on the plinth and stamped ‘Réduction mécanique A. Collas’. H.: 53 cm A marble version is held at the Musée d’Orsay under inventory number ChM 238.
