Original charter issued by Ferdinand I, Emperor of Germany, King of Hungary, Bohemia, Dalmatia and Croatia, Infante of Spain, etc... younger brother of Charles V, by which he confirms, following verification of the original titles, the privileges, donations and concessions granted to the dean and chapter of Toul Cathedral from 1192 to 1539, in view of the following deeds which have been transcribed:
- Diploma of Henry VI, Holy Roman Emperor, confirming the liberal grants made by him and his predecessors and the subjection of the chapter’s subjects to its jurisdiction (1192).
- Charters from Emperor Frederick III (1451) and Charles V (1532 and 1539) confirming the former privileges. Signed by Ferdinand (presumably in his own hand).
