Gustave Leheutre (1861–1932). The Footbridge at Le Croisic, drypoint on laid paper, signed within the engraving in the bottom left-hand corner. Countersigned in pencil in the bottom right-hand corner beneath the intaglio, titled, no. 28. Stamp ‘Ed Sagot Éditeur Paris’ (dim. 22x30 cm).
‘Ed. Sagot, Paris’ is the signature of the publisher and art dealer Edmond Sagot (1857–1917), a leading figure in the Paris print market in the late 19th century. He founded his firm in 1881 and became one of the leading specialists in original prints, lithographs and art posters.
