Silver sugar spoon, embossed design featuring a coat of arms. Hallmarks of the Fermiers Généraux of ANJOU, 18th century. Jurisdiction and town of ANGERS, circa 1780. Master silversmith’s mark: Aignan SEVESTRE, admitted in 1778. Spatula engraved with a coat of arms beneath a count’s crown. Length: 21.2 cm. Weight: 89 g. The silversmith’s hallmark is reproduced in the reference work *Les orfèvres d’Anjou et du Bas-Maine* on page 244.
