Charles ANFRIE (1833–1905). “The Marine Fusilier of the Bayard”. Bronze cast with a golden-brown patina, resting on a gilded bronze pedestal in the shape of a gunwale. Signed on the crest. (H.: 23 cm) (rifle missing) The Bayard (1882–1910) was a battleship commanded by Admiral Amédée Courbet which served in the Tonkin region.
