N.B.: The only residential building designed by Le Corbusier and Jean Prouvé, this clubhouse, nestled in greenery on the edge of the Doncourt-lès-Conflans aerodrome, offers breathtaking views of the surrounding Meuse and Moselle valleys.
It did not survive the Second World War. In 1937, the architect Jacques Ogé designed an initial project for the flying club intended for the training and accommodation of young trainee pilots. He then enlisted the help of Fernand Léger for the interior design and Jean Prouvé for the fit-out. Left unfinished when war broke out, it was occupied by the Germans from 1940 onwards, who destroyed it upon their departure in 1944.
