6795 AUGIS Heart- and rose-shaped medallion with the inscription ‘More than yesterday, less than tomorrow’, set with a synthetic ruby Eagle’s head hallmark. Dimensions: approx. 1.6 x 1.8 cm. Weight: 2g The ‘Medaille d’Amour’ was created in 1907 in the workshops of Maison A. Augis in Lyon. Alphonse Augis, the founder’s grandson, had the idea of engraving verses from a famous poem by Rosemonde Rostand entitled ‘Les Vieux’, written in 1889 as a tribute to her husband, Edmond Rostand.
