AUGIS 18K yellow gold (750/1000) ‘Medal of Love’ – ‘Yesterday – Tomorrow’ Eagle’s head hallmark and maker’s mark Diameter: approx. 1.8 cm Weight: 2.9 g The ‘Médaille d’Amour’ was created in 1907 in the workshops of Maison A. Augis in Lyon. Alphonse Augis, the founder’s grandson, had the idea of engraving verses from a famous poem by Rosemonde Rostand entitled ‘Les Vieux’, written in 1889 as a tribute to her husband, Edmond Rostand.
