Sword from the École des Mines, pommel marked ‘Coulaux & C. Klingenthal’, triangular blade with etched decoration on the first third, openwork gilded bronze guard, tang inlaid with mother-of-pearl. France, Second Empire or Third Republic. Total length 93 cm, blade 77 cm. Fairly good condition, signs of wear, oxidation, pommel and guard not secured, leather damaged.
