GERMANY Prussian infantry officer’s sabre, Model 1889 IOD. Straight, grooved blade, unmarked; guard bearing the coat of arms of Wilhelm II; filigree tang; black-painted sheet steel scabbard with a movable ring. Prussia, late 19th or early 20th century. Overall length 96 cm, blade 76.5 cm. Fairly good condition; leather thumb guard severed; fittings repainted.
