Wakizashi, a short Japanese sword, unsigned. One mekugi ana, faintly visible temper line, war-style braiding from the second half of the 19th century, blade possibly earlier, kozuka present, tsuba, fuchi and kashira missing, scabbard longer than the blade. Japan, second half of the 19th century, Edo period. Total length 72 cm, nagasa 37 cm. Poor condition, oxidation, damage and losses. EXPERT: S. LAMOTTE (06598).
